Holistic Health through Chakra Meditation: Stopping Diseases Before they Start

This article is based on the teachings of enlightened master from India Paramahamsa Nithyananda.

Health is not the mere absence of diseases, as is the common misconception; it is the expression of life itself through both the body and the mind. Our health directly depends on how we relate with ourselves and with life. Any disease affects both the mind and the body. For example, even if a person has a slight headache, it affects his thinking and his very participation in life. Hence, to radiate robust health, healing the mind and body together is important.

The thought trends of a person may start in the mind, but they do not stay there as we think. Any thought patterns or trends that are loaded with emotions, get stored in the muscle memory in the human body. These are referred to as ‘samskaras’ and they primarily affect the major energy centers of the body. The human body is comprised of seven major energy centers or chakras which are directly related to how we feel and experience life.  These chakras are the engines of the body. When these engines are working in top condition, they open up not only great health, but also extraordinary powers in the person.

Each chakra is associated with certain thought trends, and positive and negative emotions. Certain negative emotions lock the chakras, which can directly lead to health problems and causes diseases. When the chakra is cleansed and opened, the low emotions associated with the chakra disappear, and high energy emotions take their place, leading to extraordinary achievements. People are capable of amazing accomplishments if they can awaken the chakras in their body.

How Diseases Start in the Human Body

Low energy emotions, which are stored as patterns, are the root cause of all diseases. Every disease starts with a thought trend. When certain thought trends are constantly cherished they become part of our muscle and bio-energy. These long-held patterns in the muscle-memory, in turn affect how we think, emote and act on a daily basis (leading to a vicious cycle). If a person falls into fear often, it elevates the level of adrenalin in their body, which further strengthens their fight or flight response to even ordinary situations.  This increases their chances of being in fear throughout the day.

Deeper patterns in the bio-memory manifest as diseases. For example, constantly living in anxiety can cause chronic stomach problems and disorders of the digestive system, which are associated with the Manipuraka chakra, the energy center located at the navel. When this chakra is cleansed, both stomach problems and worries are mitigated, creating a virtuous cycle, rather than a vicious cycle.

Healing the Chakras for Health and Wellbeing

Meditations which work only on the level of the mind may bring temporary relief, but are not powerful enough to heal diseases because they do not remove the toxins in the muscle memory. Similarly meditations that work on the breath alone, or on physical positions (hatha yoga) cannot create holistic health.  To heal us inside out, dynamic meditations that address the mind, the breath, the body and the being are required that change the way the prana (life force) flows in the body.

Nithya Dhyaan, One Meditation for the mind, body and all the Chakras

Nithya Dhyaan is a 35-minute meditation designed by enlightened master Paramahamsa Nithyananda as a holistic way to cleanse the mind-breath-body-being system. It not only unclutches us from the negative emotions of the mind and helps us move beyond it, it also cleanses and energizes all the chakras in the body. It brings intense awareness into the system to awaken the inner intelligence. It is a dynamic meditation that combines breathing techniques, yoga postures, intense visualizations, and unclutching at the deepest levels of the mind. It is a technique that gives a seeker what he needs to balance these chakras and be in complete harmony with his body, mind and spirit. It enables the practitioner to harness the inner intelligence and to excel in both, the inner as well as the outer worlds. Practicing Nithya Dhyaan daily gives you your daily dose of happiness.
